Your privacy matters deeply to me.
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hearts Need Healing (operated by Jennifer Kirkley) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit this website or make an enquiry.
I am committed to handling your data with care, transparency, and in full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What Information I Collect
When you submit a contact form or book a session, I collect your name, email address, phone number, and any information you choose to share in your message or notes.
I also collect standard technical data automatically when you visit this website, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This is collected via server logs and is used solely for security and site performance purposes.
I do not use third-party analytics tracking tools (such as Google Analytics) that place cookies on your device without your consent.
How I Use Your Information
To respond to your enquiry or booking request.
To send appointment confirmations and related communications.
To maintain records as required for the safe and ethical delivery of coaching services.
I will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Contractual necessity — to fulfil a booking or respond to an enquiry you have initiated.
Legitimate interests — to maintain secure records and communicate with you about your sessions.
Legal obligation — where I am required to retain records under applicable law or professional guidelines.
How Long I Keep Your Data
Enquiry and contact form data is retained for up to two years from the date of your last contact, unless you ask me to delete it sooner.
Client records are normally retained for seven years for adults after the coaching relationship ends. For clients who were under 18 at the time of coaching, records are retained until the client's 26th birthday after the coaching relationship ends. These retention periods take account of legal, insurance, professional and business requirements.
The retention period used by Hearts Need Healing is documented in its internal record-keeping arrangements.
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Your Rights below), subject to any legal, insurance, or professional obligations I hold.
